Terms of Use

1. What the app does

You give the app a link to a public social media video (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram). The app uses automated AI tools to detect places mentioned in it — restaurants, cafés, attractions — and puts them on a map with details pulled from public sources like Google. You can save places into lists and share them.

2. The most important part: the info may be wrong

This is an AI-powered tool, and AI makes mistakes. A place may be misidentified, mapped to the wrong location, or shown with outdated details. Businesses close, move, and change hours all the time.

Everything in the app is provided for convenience only, "as is," with no guarantee of accuracy. Before you travel somewhere, book anything, or make any plans, verify the details directly with the business or on official sources.

By using the app, you accept that you rely on the information at your own risk, and you agree that I am not liable for any loss, cost, disappointment, or damage resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated information in the app.

3. Your account

You sign in with your Google or Apple account to save lists — I never see or store your password. Keep your Google/Apple account secure, since you're responsible for activity on your Hungry Potato account. You can delete your account anytime in the app, which removes your data.

4. Fair use

Please don't:

• Submit links to private, restricted, or unlawful content;
• Use the app for anything illegal;
• Scrape the app's data, attack its servers, or reverse engineer it;
• Put anything unlawful or offensive in your shared lists.

I can suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Third parties

I'm not affiliated with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google, or any business shown in the app. Videos belong to their creators and platforms. Place details come from third-party sources. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms. If a feature that depends on a third party breaks or disappears, that's outside my control.

6. Content and takedowns

If you're a rights holder or business and believe something in the app infringes your rights or misrepresents you, email me at contactus@hungrypotato.app and I'll review and remove it promptly where appropriate.

7. The app itself

The app, its code, design, and name are mine. Your lists are yours — I only host and display them so the app can work (including showing shared lists to people you share them with).

8. No warranties, limited liability

The app is free and provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. I don't promise it will always work, be error-free, or stay available.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability to you for anything related to the app is limited to USD 100, and I am not liable for any indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that can't legally be excluded.

9. Changes and termination

I may update the app or these Terms; material changes will be shown in the app. I may discontinue the app at any time. You can stop using it whenever you like.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the UAE (Emirate of Dubai), and disputes go to the courts of Dubai — unless the consumer law where you live says otherwise.
